Comments: All species in the genus Agapanthus are indigenous to Southern Africa. Agapanthus inapertus occurs in the north-eastern part of South Africa, where it grows in rocky, mountainous areas. Unlike other species of Agapanthus, A. inapertus is decidous and goes completely dormant in winter. The dark blue flowers grow in dense drooping umbels.
