Comments: This endemic Cape bulb grows on damp sites like marshes and poorly drained seeps. It is quite common and widespread, occurring from the Bokkeveld Mountains to Port Elizabeth. It grows in dense colonies, which provides for a beaufitul display in winter when the cream-coloured flowers appear. These flowers are have a lovely scent similar to that of carnations which can be smelled especially in the evening.
