Comments: The sore-eye flower is a highly poisonous plant, its scientific name translating to “ox death” (2). It is widespread and long-lived but due to its medicinal properties, recently shown to be promising in the treatment of cancer and moto neuron diseases (4), is unsustainably harvested for traditional medicine markets and populations are on the decline (2).
