Comments: This range-restricted species is known only from a small mountainous area on the border of SA and Namibia. It is a characteristic Richtersveld species, well-known in the area for its mass blooming in mid-summer. Due to overgrazing and climate change, it is now threatened and 64% of the national population has been lost to prolonged drought.
