Life form: Geophyte (bulb, corm or tuber - seasonally dormant)
Comments: This Cape Peninsula endemic, was previously known from only three subpopulations, two of which have are lost as a result of urban development. There are fewer than 250 plants at the remaining subpopulation in the Cape Peninsula National Park. In 2024 SUBG located another population in Kommetjie, unfortunately also located on a housing development footprint.
