Comments: A substantial portion of this species' habitat is already lost to agricultural and urban development. Loss to new rooibos tea and potato farming has bee particularly rapid in since this species was last assessed in 2004 (Kirkwood pers. obs.). Subpopulations are increasingly fragmented, with the largest areas very impacted by alien plant invasion.
