Comments: Bulbine vandermerwei (Asphodelaceae), a geophyte endemic to aeolian sand deposits south-east of Worcester (Western Cape), South Africa, was only described as a new speies in 2023. The description of this taxon forms part of an ecological research project of the Worcester Robertson region (Western Cape) by Anso le Roux and shows just how much diversity remains to be discovered in the Cape Flora.
