Distribution: Western and Northern Cape: Hangklip to Nieuwoudtville. Extinct on the Cape Peninsula.
Habitat: Fynbos and transition to Rensosterveld.
National red list: Least Concern
Life form: Geophyte (bulb, corm or tuber - seasonally dormant)
Comments: Although listed Least Concern the species has probably been substantially impacted by habitat loss throughout its range.
