Habitat: Wetlands: seasonally flooded areas or at the edge of pools
National red list: Vulnerable
Life form: Geophyte (bulb, corm or tuber - seasonally dormant)
Comments: This species is a wetland specialist, occurring in seasonal pools or marshy soils. It can be hard to distinguish from some other Geissorhizas, but it has a characteristic inflated leaf. Most of its known populations has already been lost and due to ongoing habitat loss and its decline is ongoing.
