Comments: This critically endangered Cape bulb only occurs in an area of less than 10km^2. A single subpopulation remains at this site, threatened by ongoing agricultural expansion which is converting its habitat to vineyards.
In 2020 Keir and Alouise Lynch, who operate as a small field survey operation name Bionerds.co.za, surveyed the only known locality and located approximately 70 plants.
