This silvery, rounded shrub has attractive, soft shiny leaves and small, pretty pink flowers in winter which are followed by unusual swollen seed pods.
It was once very common on the lowlands of the Cape Peninsula and surrounds, and has lost substantial habitat to urban housing and other development, so is now Red Listed Vulnerable, with between 30-50 populations thought to be surviving.
