Comments:
This mat-forming South African succulent is used for groundcover, erosion control and as an ornamental globally. It has invaded coastal habitats across the world and even colonises disturbed sites in SA. It grows vigorously and reproduces vegetatively, making it hard to control. It smothers indigenous flora, reduces indigenous invertebrate biodiversity and changes soil qualities.
