Comments: This Cape bulb produces striking, large inflorescences with blue flowers in late summer. It only grows between Bainskloof and Tulbagh in moist areas, typically next to seeps and streams. It belongs to a group of plants known as the woody irises, which are all evergreen shrubs with woody stems.
