Jasminum
glaucum
Common name:
Wildejasmyn, Wild jasmine, Wild Jessamine
Family:
Oleaceae (Olive)
Distribution:
Northern Cape, Western Cape
National red list:
Least Concern
Comments:
This jasmine is sweet, pretty, easy to cultivate, and does not grow more than 1.5 to 1.8m high. Its slender branches are particularly well adapted to be wreathed round one of those moveable trellises which gardeners now employ with so much advantage for their tender climbers. It is a native of the Cape of Good Hope and, in the greenhouse, it flowers all summer.
