Comments: This species is now locally extinct on the Cape Flats, where it was formerly abundant, but it still occurs elsewhere on the Cape Peninsula and is protected within the Table Mountain National Park. It is also declining due to coastal development over most of its range, but still occurs at at least 22 locations, many of which are not threatened. (2011)
