Nymphaea 'Black Princess'

Nymphaea 'Black Princess' - Waterlelie 'Black Princes', Water-lily 'Black Princes'
.
Common name: Waterlelie 'Black Princes', Water-lily 'Black Princes'
Family: Nymphaeaceae (Water-lily)
Comments: It is a highly unusual colour - as the plant matures the double-petalled blooms become a darker and darker red until they are almost totally black. Added to this, it is free-flowering and produces blooms all summer long. The foliage is also attractive, with new leaves opening a deep burgundy colour, making a really eye-catching and unusual plant.
