Comments: It is a shrub or small tree. It grows in hot and dry woodland often with mopane. The tree produces a resin called “omumgorwa” that is collected by the women of the Himba tribe before the rainy season. It is traditionally used as soap for cleaning clothes and other fabrics. It is also excellent hand soap. The resin has a commercial use nowadays in USA.
