Comments: The stems are thick, fleshy and contorted with knobs on them. This plant has leaves which resemble the sea samphire, Crithmum while the Latin for leaf is folium, hence the specific epithet crithmifolium. Pelargoniums have been cultivated for centuries. Pelargonium crithmifolium was reported in cultivation in England as early as 1792.
