Comments: This species is threatened by overgrazing and resultant habitat degradation on the coastal lowlands between Port Nolloth and the Anenous Pass. Inland of Kleinsee it is threatened by ongoing habitat loss to mining. Subpopulations further south are protected in the Namaqua National Park and not threatened.
