Comments:
This species was discovered in 2004 and described in 2012 by Ernst van Jaarsveld. It only occurs amongst the mineral-poor sandstone cliffs of the Namibian Baynes mountains in the Kaokoveld desert. Although it is rare, its secluded habitat offers protection from threats. It is possible that the species also occurs in Angola, but this has not yet been determined.
