Comments: Aslpenium nidus has simple, bright green fronds that grows in tropical forests. It is an epiphytic plant, able to survive in extreme environmental conditions, making them a suitable house plant candidate. Commonly known as a birds nest fern, this plant has soared into popularity as a houseplant. In its natural environment, Asplenium nidus plays an important role in nutrient cycling and supports a wide diversity of athropod taxa. Fallen detritus collects in its leaf bases and becomes an important reservoir of nutrients. Believed to have some medicinal value and is traditionaly used as a remedy to stomache ache, as a well as a diuretic and contraceptive.
